Last Saturday, the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas initiated an attack on Israel, leading to a declaration of war by Israel.

Kathleen Hogan, Microsoft’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, shared in an email that approximately 3,000 employees in Israel are directly impacted. The company is witnessing profound grief, fear, and anxiety among its Jewish employees worldwide due to the rise in hatred and incivility. Additionally, Palestinian employees globally are expressing concerns for the safety of their loved ones in the region, firmly standing against terror.

Satya Nadella emphasized the organization’s commitment to prioritizing employee safety during this crisis. Similarly, Google CEO Sundar Pichai echoed these sentiments.

In the internal email, Kathleen Hogan emphasized that the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Microsoft is maintaining direct communication with local leaders and employee communities in Israel to offer support and comprehend the impact on employees and their families during this challenging period, seeking ways to provide better assistance to their families.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas has led to a devastating toll, with over 3,600 casualties reported. Israel has stated that since the war’s onset on October 7, Hamas has been responsible for over 1,200 deaths. Alarming numbers of people, more than 260,000 according to the United Nations, have been forced to flee their homes due to Israeli air strikes on Gaza.
