Meerapur: A video has emerged from Kakroli police station area in Meerapur where a police officer could be seen pointing a gun at women voters. The police officer in question is said to be Kakroli Station House Officer (SHO), who also allegedly threatened the women.
Kakroli falls under Meerapur assembly constituency where the bypoll is taking place on Wednesday. The incident took place after alleged stone pelting in the area during the bypoll. Two sub-inspectors posted in Rurkali and Jauli area were also suspended for mismanagement during the bypoll.

Akhilesh Yadav demands action
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh has shared a video where a cop is seen pointing a gun and threatening the women in Kakroli area. The SP chief has demanded action against the police officer.
Akhilesh took to X and said, “Election Commission should immediately suspend SHO of Kakarwali police station area of Meerapur because he is stopping voters from casting their votes by threatening them with a revolver.”
