The Maruti Suzuki eVX is going to be the first fully electric vehicle for the brand and they will reveal the vehicle on November 4, in Milan, Italy. The eVX will make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo which will take place in February of 2025. The eVX will be a made in India product and will be exported to foreign markets as well.
The eVX will predominantly be made in the Suzuki’s Gujarat facility and Maruti aims to produce around 1.4 lakh units of the vehicle in a year with half of them being exported to countries like Japan and Europe. The eVX is expected to launch in the Indian market in March of next year and Indian will be the first country where it will be launched followed by Europe and then by Japan.
Maruti has promised quite a lot of things with the eVX and we are yet to see if they will become a reality. The eVX will most likely feature the option of two battery packs and we assume that it will have a size similar to the Tata Nexon.ev, which is one of the most popular EVs in the Indian market. Maruti had also promised 500 kms of range in one full charge and we could see an AWD version as well.
Toyota will come up with its own version of the eVX (basically a rebadged) version for other international markets and that will start production in the second half of 2025.
Maruti had earlier slated the launch of the eVX for the Indian market first but they are doing a Milan debut because it is going to be a global product.
