The new Maruti Dzire is coming out soon, but when? We now have a date, it’s officially launching on November 11, right after Diwali. Maruti Swift Dzire is India’s best-selling sedan, after all—and this new-gen model sounds like it’s bringing some interesting changes.
From the leaked spyshots, what’s really catching everyone’s attention is how the new Dzire is stepping away from its usual design similarities with the Swift. This time around, it’s carving out its own identity. The front end seems to be completely revamped. Instead of the curvy design we’re used to, the new Dzire features sharper body panels, crisp lines, and grooves that give it a more aggressive look.
There’s a large, horizontally slatted grille up front, flanked by sleek headlamps that make the car look more premium. From the earlier leaked spy shots, and even the alloy wheels seems to have a new design. It seems Maruti is aiming for a sportier, more premium vibe, which might attract a younger crowd.
Sunroof and Potential ADAS Features
The new Dzire might come with a single-pane sunroof! That’s a segment-first feature, and it is something that we Indian’s love. I remember when sunroofs were only available in luxury cars, so it’s cool to see them becoming more accessible.
There are also whispers about Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) being included in the top variants. If that’s true, it could really shake up the entry-level sedan market. Features like adaptive cruise control or Blind Spot Monitoring in a Dzire? That would be something.
Interior Upgrades and Tech Goodies
Inside, the Dzire is expected to borrow some features from the new Swift. The cabin might get a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is a nice upgrade from the current model. There could be a all-around LED package as well, we’re talking LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and rear combination LED lamps.
Other possible features include, an analog Instrument Cluster with 4.2-inch MID, leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel, Automatic Climate Control. Connectivity won’t be an issue either. The new Dzire is likely to offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a wireless charger.
Safety features are getting a boost too. The car is expected to come with six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors, and a rear parking camera. It’s reassuring to see Maruti focusing on safety, especially since more people are becoming conscious of it.
Competing in a Crowded Market
The Dzire already competes with cars like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor. With these new updates, it might pull even further ahead. I recall when a colleague was torn between the Dzire and the Amaze; features like these could make the decision easier.
What’s Next?
Prices will be announced on the launch day, November 11, and deliveries are expected to start around mid-November. If you’re considering buying a new sedan, it might be worth waiting a bit to check this one out.
