New Delhi: Ruben Amorim has been announced as the next manager of Manchester United and will start leading the club from November 11th. Amorim will arrive from Sporting Lisbon, who have received €11 million as compensation from the United. Amorim has been at the helm of Sporting for four years, having led them to their first Portuguese League title in 19 years in his first season.
The 39-year-old will arrive to the most successful club in the Premier League, having claimed 13 titles in the top-tier of English football. However, their poor performance in the last two seasons resulted in Erik ten Hag’s dismissal from the club. Ruud van Nistelrooy was appointed as the interim manager following dismissal.
