New Delhi: A man who raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad, India Murdabad’ slogans was recently granted bail by the Madhya Pradesh High Court but with some riders. One of the conditions was to salute the Tricolour 21 times. A video of the man, Faizal Khan alias Faizan, saluting the National Flag has gone viral.
In the video, he can be seen saluting the Tricolour and chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, that were part of his bail conditions, at a police station in Jabalpur.

Speaking to the media, Faizal, the accused, voiced regret and said, “I accept my mistake, and I will adhere by the High Court order. The reel was made as a man was making a video. I will never commit the mistake again. I also tell others to not commit such a mistake.”
The Jabalpur bench of Madhya Pradesh High court granted bail to Faizal on October 15, 2024. He was released on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and one solvent surety of the same amount. Besides, he must report to the Misrod Police Station in Bhopal on the first and fourth Tuesday of every month between 10 am and 12 noon until his trial continues. As part of his bail conditions, he must salute the Tricolour 21 times and raise the slogan “Bharat Mata ki Jai”.
Police Station in-charge Manish Raj Bhadauria said, “This was the first Tuesday as per the terms laid down for him. The accused came on time, saluted the national flag 21 times, and chanted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’ He will do so on the first and last Tuesday of every month till the trial concludes.”
