Mahindra has currently been lagging behind when it comes to electric vehicles but it is all about to change as the Indian manufacturer will be unveiling two all new electric SUVs on November 26, 2025 at the Unlimit India World Premiere in Chennai. The vehicles which will make its debut are the XEV 9e and the BE 6e.
Both the vehicles will be built on an all new electric architecture which Mahindra is calling the INGLO platform. The INGLO platform has been developed from the ground up specially for electric vehicles and will offer better packaging due to the flat floor, larger capacity battery integration and a versatile platform which will be able to underpin Mahindra’s many more electric SUVs to come.
Mahindra XEV 9e
The XEV 9e is going to be the flagship Mahindra electric SUV for now. It will feature a new radical design language that will be common with all new Mahindra electric vehicles. The XEV 9ealso is not a conventional SUV shape but rather a coupe design with a sloping roof after the B-pillar onwards. Not many details are known about the vehicle but it should have multiple battery pack options and dual motor setup.
Mahindra BE 6e
The BE 6e is going to be a much smaller SUV than the XEV 9e. It is also an all new design and should be more of the size of the recently launched Tata Curvv.ev. The BE 6e is also a coupe SUV and has a sloping roof and it looks quite futuristic. We expect it to have a smaller battery pack, around 60 kWh and have just a single motor setup driving only one set of wheels.
Mahindra’s Electric Future
Mahindra is going all out on with the unveil of the production version of these two vehicles. Both of them have been spied testing in the wild quite a few times but have always been seen with heavy camouflage. It would be exciting to see them in the flesh. The vehicles will also be a lot more premium and Mahindra will target the luxury segment with these two vehicles.
