The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is somehow still relevant in the market even after the introduction of the new Scorpio. The Classic is still loved by many and Mahindra has launched a new special edition for it rightly called the “Boss Edition”. It remains the same old Scorpio but has a lot of accessories added on to it.
To start with, the exterior feature a lot of dark chrome elements. This include dark chrome applique on the headlamps and fog lamps, a front bumper add-on, dark chrome applique on the grille and the upper grille as well, dark chrome applique on the bonnet scoop, rain visors and carbon fibre applique on the door mirrors. It also gets rear quarter glass, side indicator, , rear reflector, door handles and rear taillight appliques in dark chrome. It also features a black powder coated guard.
On the inside, it gets black seat covers, neck cushions, seat cushions, and a reverse parking camera which has been integrated into the infotainment screen.
Mechanically, the Boss edition remains more or less the same as the regular Scorpio Classic. It comes with a 2.2L m-Hawk diesel engine which produces 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque and is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Power goes to just the rear wheels and there is no automatic option on offer. The upper variant offers features like alloy wheels, projector headlamps, an infotainment touch screen, automatic climate control and an automatic stop start system.
Prices for the Boss Edition have not been revealed yet but the regular Scorpio Classic starts from Rs 13.61 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs 17.41 lakh (ex-showroom).
