Nagpur: In a tragic incident, three persons died after a car they were in plunged into a well during driving lesson in Nagpur district of Maharashtra on Monday night.
A youth learning to drive the car lost control and the vehicle fell into the well. All three occupants died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Suraj Chavan, Sajan Chavan, and Sandeep Chavan. Suraj and Sajan were brothers, while Sandeep was their friend.
Accident took place near Balbharti ground
The accident took place near Balbharti ground under Butibori police station in Nagpur district. According to Butibori Station House Officer (SHO), Pratap Bhosale, the incident took place late on Monday night.
Police said the three youth were inside the car, with one of them learning to drive. Suddenly, the car gained acceleration and went out of control and subsequently plunged into a well near the ground.
After information about the accident, police reached the spot and retrieved the car and the bodies of the three young men from the well. The bodies were later sent to government hospital for autopsy. Butibori police said they are probing the case.
Student killed in Kolhapur accident
In another accident in Maharashtra, a 14-year-old student was crushed under the wheels of tractor-trolley in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra on Tuesday.
