Mumbai: Diwali season is just around the corner and sweet shops have geared up with their specialities for the festive celebration. Raghuveer Mithai Wala in Maharashtra’s Amravati has introduced a special sweet called “Soneri Bhog”. The unique sweet is made with a 24-carat gold work and is heftily priced at Rs 14, 000 per kg.
The shopkeeper, Chandrakant Popat, stated that “Soneri Bhog” is an addition to this year’s list of special Diwali sweets. Soneri Bhog is a blend of cashews, almonds, raisins, and pistachios. Once the mix is prepared, 24-carat gold is added to make it look exquisite. Speaking of the demand, Popat said that the uniqueness of the sweet has attracted customers. With massive crowds gathering to purchase boxes of ‘Soneri Bhog’, it seems like the price is not a problem.
