The Election Commission on Tuesday announced the dates for Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Dates were announced by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar at a press conference. The election in the state will be held in one phase. The state will gon on polls on November 20, while results will be announced on November 23.
Addressing the press conference, Rajiv Kumar said that there are total of 36 districts in the state 36, There are 299 Assembly constituencies in the state . Sharing further details the CEC said that number of electors going to polls is 9.63 crores. Among them there are 1.85 crores young voters There will be 1,00,186 polling station in the state. Of them, 57,580 booth will be in rural areas and 42,585 polling booths in Urban areas. Senior voters over 85 years of age will be able to vote from home.
