Mumbai: With days to go for the one-phase Assembly polls in Maharashtra, state’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared his assets in the affidavit filed along with his nomination papers. Fadnavis, who is contesting from Nagpur South West constituency, declared his assets worth Rs 13,27,47,728. Maharashtra is going to polls on November 20, with results to be announced on October 24.
As per the tax return filed by the BJP leader, his total tax return stood at Rs79,30,402 in 2023-24. Earlier in 2022-23, he returned Rs 92,48,094 as tax. The Deputy Chief Minister declared his movable assets of Rs 56,07,867 in his name. He also declared Rs 6,96,92,748 movable assets in the name of his wife Amruta Fadnavis, and ₹10,22,113 in the name of his daughter’s name.
Maharashtra Deputy CM’s immovable properties
The Rs 4,68,96,000 immovable property announced by Fadnavis included agricultural land in Chandrapur, a resident building in Nagpur, and several other properties. He took a Rs 62,00,000 loan from his wife but did not take any other loans from banks or financial institutions, the affidavit announced by him said. The BJP leader also announced that he has four FIRs and four pending cases against him.
Fadnavis’ bank deposits
Fadnavis further announced in his affidavit that he has Rs 23,500 cash in hand, while his wife has Rs 10,000. Apart from this, The Deputy CM has Rs 2,28,760 in his bank deposit, while Amruta Fadnavis has a total of Rs 1,43,717 in the bank.
While he has not invested in shares, debentures, bonds, or mutual funds, the deputy CM has invested Rs 20,70,607 in insurance policies, NSS, postal savings, and financial instruments. His wife, however, has invested Rs 5,62,59,031 in debentures, shares, bonds, and mutual funds, as per the affidavit.
