New Delhi: The upcoming Mahakumbh 2025 is gearing up to host lakhs of devotees over 46 days, starting January 13, 2025, and the Uttar Pradesh government is making sure to leave no stone unturned to facilitate a smooth process for the attendees through its various digital initiatives for the gran religious event.
Held every 12 years, the Mahakumbh Mela 2025 will be held in Prayagraj, home to the congregation of holy rivers Ganga and Yamuna. The state government is gearing up for a divine, grand and digital Maha Kumbh.
Under its many schemes and initiatives for the convenience of devotees, the government has developed an AI chatbot ‘Kumbh Sahayak’ for WhatsApp, bringing all related information of the gathering to one’s fingertips.
All about Mahakumbh AI chatbot:
- The chatbot can be accessed by sending a message to +91 8887847135 on WhatsApp. You will be then asked to choose a language before proceeding to get a complete guide on the Mahakumbh on your phone.
- The Kumbh Sahayak chatbot will provide comprehensive information in over 10 languages, supported by the Bhashini app.
- It will serve as a personal guide for attendees, accessible via the Mahakumbh 2025 app or WhatsApp.
- Featuring Google navigation, interactive conversation capabilities, and personalised GIF responses, the chatbot ensures a seamless and enriching experience for millions of visitors.
- Visitors will easily locate sectors, arenas, Kalpvas tents, and bathing ghats with the chatbot’s guidance.
- Through interactive text and voice conversations, the chatbot will offer insights into the event’s history, traditions, sadhus and akhadas, key bathing ghats, dates, routes, parking, and accommodation options.
- The chatbot will keep users updated on Mahakumbh events, provide details on government-approved tour packages, and share information on local hotels and homestays.
- Engaging users with personalised GIFs, the chatbot delivers a unique and interactive experience.
The office of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday encouraged people to visit the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to see the massive ‘damru’ and trident of Lord Shiva, crafted from bronze and other metals.
“Many pleasant destinations have been developed for the devotees coming to the grand festival of folk faith ‘Prayagraj Mahakumbh’. In this sequence, the huge Damru and Trishul of Lord Shiva installed in Jhusi are becoming the centre of attraction. Come to Maha Kumbh, and do see this damru and trident made of bronze and other metals,” the Chief Minister’s Office stated in a post on X.
