New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected upon the Maha Kumbh 2025 and his spiritual experience of taking a holy dip at Triveni Sangma, calling the event that was attended by more than 66 crore devotees a reflection of get awakened consciousness of the country.
“On 22 January 2024, during the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, I spoke about the connection between devotion to the divine and devotion to the nation. During the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, we witnessed the gathering of all deities, saints, sages, elders, women, and youth—an event that reflected the awakened consciousness of our nation. This Maha Kumbh was a festival of unity, where the faith of 140 crore Indians came together in one sacred celebration,” he wrote on a blog post.
In this very land of Prayagraj, there lies another sacred site—Shringverpur, a symbol of unity, harmony, and love. It was here that Lord Shri Ram and Nishadraj met, a moment in our history that represents a confluence of devotion and mutual respect. Even today, this pilgrimage site in Prayagraj continues to inspire us with the message of unity and harmony, PM Modi said.
The grand organisation of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj has become a subject of study for modern management professionals, planning and policy experts. There is no parallel to such a massive event anywhere in the world today, nor is there any comparable example of its scale and execution, he wrote.
“The entire world is astonished at how millions of people gathered at the Triveni Sangam, on the banks of the river, without any formal invitation or prior schedule. There were no fixed arrival times, yet people set out on their own, drawn by faith, and felt blessed after taking a holy dip in the sacred waters,” he added.
