According to an official, this year, four types of unique QR codes have been created. Scanning these QR codes will connect devotees directly with the security systems in place, allowing them to receive updates and communicate with the police if needed.

QR codes for social media platforms

As part of the initiative, Uttar Pradesh Police have created separate QR codes for major social media platforms such as X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Upon scanning the QR code, pilgrims will be redirected to the official police pages of Maha Kumbh, where they can receive security updates in real-time.

Furthermore, the devotees will have the ability to send messages to the authorities regarding any issues or concerns they may face. Senior officials will be promptly alerted as soon as a message is received, enabling them to take immediate action.

The digital security channels will remain active 24/7, ensuring that the safety of the devotees is constantly monitored. The updates will provide real-time information about security measures, crowd management and any changes or alerts relevant to Maha Kumbh. Additionally, the police will also provide updates through the “Prayagraj Commissionerate” and “Maha Kumbh Mela” official handles, which will be accessible through the QR codes.
