Madhya Pradesh’s Ladli Behna Yojana aims to uplift the economic status of women through various state and central government schemes. Starting March 15, 2023, the scheme provides Rs 1,000 financial assistance monthly to sisters in the state. The second phase of applications is set to begin on July 25, with relaxed eligibility criteria.
Ladli Behna Yojana: Empowering Women with Financial Assistance
Notably, the age limit for beneficiaries has been lowered to 21 years from 23 years. Women who turned 21 on January 1, 2023, will receive Rs 1,000 from September onwards. The scheme extends its coverage to women aged 21 to 60 years, including families with tractors registered under their names. These amendments aim to include approximately 18,000 new beneficiaries.
Phase 2 Application: Relaxed Eligibility and Age Limit for Beneficiaries
To avail of the Ladli Behna Yojana, eligible women and daughters can submit the necessary forms at Panchayat centers, Lekhpal, Secretary, or Pradhan’s office. Additionally, special camps across the state will facilitate form submissions for eligible women who may have missed applying.
