New Delhi: One Direction singer Liam Payne, who passed away on October 16 after jumping from his hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, died under the influence of psychoactive drugs, called hallucinogenic substances, according to TMZ report. The hallucinogenic drugs are known for causing psychotic attacks, and hallucinations and can alter a person’s state of consciousness, thought, mood, and perception.
Earlier, inside pictures of his hotel room went viral on social media. The photos showed a white powder, a smashed TV, a smashed laptop, broken objects, the drug clonazepam, and torn pieces of aluminium foil. a chilling 911 recording was also leaked online where hotel staff can be heard informing an official about a “guest who is on drugs and is destroying everything in the hotel room”. The hotel staff even added that the guest’s life was in danger.

In a new development, the Buenos Aires police officials told TMZ that Liam Payne was high on drugs, specifically Cristal. Cristal is known to be a dangerous drug and impacts your nervous system. The officers informed that the use of drugs usually causes “extreme highs and extreme lows” and makes the person who is taking it “aggressive”. They also noted that the use of drugs could be one of the causes for Liam’s “erratic behaviour”. The officers further added that the drug could have caused him hallucinations that made him jump off the balcony of his hotel room at CasaSur Palermo.
As per the sources quoted by Page Six, Liam Payne was struggling with drug addiction before he was dropped from the label. Reportedly, he also spent 100 days in rehab.
What did hotel guest say about Liam’s behaviour?
A hotel guest claimed to have seen the singer smash his laptop after he got triggered by an email. The guest told Daily Mail that she allegedly had an interaction with Payne and she asked him if he was okay and he responded by saying, “I used to be in a boy band. That’s why I’m so f**ked up” as he grunted.
