New Delhi: There are plans to increase the circle rate of land in Ayodhya. The people of Ayodhya have been demanding this for a long time. Failure to get proper compensation is also cited as one of the reasons behind BJP’s dismal show in the Lok Sabha elections. Now, after seven years, preparations are afoot to spike the circle rate of land in Ayodhya by 50 to 200 per cent. It was in 2017 that the circle rate was increased for the last time.
Apart from the construction of Shri Ram Temple, the government took hundreds of acres of land from the people for building the airport, bus stand and roads in Ayodhya. But these people reportedly did not get proper compensation because the circle rate was low even as the market rate of land in Ayodhya is zooming. The residents of Ayodhya are peeved with the government for not getting proper compensation.
Government is making preparations to increase circle rate
A proposal to increase the circle rate in Ayodhya has been readied. The government is seeking objections, if any, on the proposed rates till September 4. Following the objections, the circle rate will be decided and made public. Ayodhya Division Commissioner Gaurav Dayal reportedly said that two meetings have been held regarding this. The final decision about the circle rate will be taken after the objections are taken into account.
Ayodhya has turned into real estate hub
After the construction of Ram temple, Ayodhya has turned into a real estate hotspot. The land prices are on the upswing. The prices of land could double soon. There’s a scramble to buy land in Ayodhya. Those who have purchased land here include Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and a host of other leaders, officers and big traders. Earlier, these lands were notified as buffer zones, but later denotified with Governor’s nod.
The consecration of the Ram Temple took place on January 22 this year. The new idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated in the grand Ram temple of Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as celebrities and big industrialists were present for the ceremony.
