Kota: In a shocking incident from Kota, Rajasthan, a teacher at Teliya Khedi Government Higher Secondary School has been accused of severely beating a class 5 student, resulting in a fractured hand. The incident took place in the Julmi area, where the teacher, identified as Abdul Aziz, punished the young girl over a minor issue.
According to reports, the teacher asked the student to spread a mat in the classroom. When the girl was a little late in doing so, the teacher became angry, picked up a stick, and repeatedly hit the student on her hand. The beating was so harsh that the girl’s hand was fractured.
Victim’s family accused teacher of excessive violence
The girl’s family brought the matter to the attention of Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, during a problem-solving camp held in Ramganj Mandi, Kota. The family submitted a written complaint, accusing the teacher of excessive violence.
The girl’s father, Radheshyam, said that his daughter came home from school in pain and told him about the beating. Concerned, he immediately took her to the hospital, where an X-ray revealed a fracture, and her hand was placed in a plaster.
Complaint registered against accused teacher
Seeking justice for their daughter, the family also approached the local gram panchayat sarpanch, Abid Khan, who helped them take the complaint to the education minister’s camp. Upon hearing the family’s plea, the education minister spoke directly with the girl and instructed officials to take swift action against the teacher.
The police have now registered a case against Abdul Aziz and are investigating the incident. Kota’s chief district education officer, Satish Joshi, has also launched an inquiry into the matter, following the orders of the education minister.
