Dehradun: With an aim to ensure its victory by a record number of votes in the Kedarnath by-polls, the ruling BJP’s state unit has given final shapes to all the programmes to be held by the star campaigners, including the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the Kedarnath assembly constituency.
The BJP will hold separate conferences of three different wings of voters belonging to the categories of the women, the Scheduled Castes, and the Ex-servicemen in the Kedarnath assembly seat which will go to the by-polls on November 20.

This was announced by the BJP’s Uttarakhand unit chief Mahendra Nath Bhatt late on Tuesday evening. Bhatt criticized the Uttarakhand Congress for targeting over the November 4 Almora bus accident. Simultaneously, he welcomed the decision of the CM Dhami to celebrate the state’s 24th foundation day on November 9 with simplicity. Bhatt was talking to reporters at the BJP’s headquarters in Dehradun late on Tuesday evening.

“Our aim is very clear that we want high turnout of voters in the Kedarnath by-polls and ensure the victory of our party candidate by a record number of votes,” Bhatt told reporters. He also added that the achievements made by the double -engine government will be shared by the party at the three proposed separate conferences of women, Scheduled Castes and Ex-servicemen in the Kedarnath assembly constituency.
Migrants are on the target of BJP to enhance voters’ turnout
According to him, there is also a plan for holding “Pravasi Sammelan” (Conference for the migrants who have settled down in other cities from the Kedarnath areas). They will be inspired to participate in the voting process in the Kedarnath by-polls, Bhatt further mentioned. He added that one such programme has been organized in Dehradun. “I will personally attend such a ‘pravasi sammellan” to be organized in New Delhi on November 10,” Bhatt told reporters.
CM Dhami will attend three big programmes in Kedarnath areas
He informed the reporters that CM Dhami, who is one among the 40 star-campaigners, will attend three big programmes to be held in the Kedarnath assembly constituency. He also said that he would ensure his presence in the Kedarnath assembly constituency from November 11 to November 18.

He also suggested the Congress party for politicizing the sensitive incidents like the Amora bus accident. He added that the rescue operation was undertaken on war-footing after getting reports about the road accident. He further said that this is a tragic incident and the state government’s decision to celebrate the state foundation day with simplicity must be welcomed.
