New Delhi: The Karnataka government has withdrawn consent to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe cases in the state. The decision has been in view of misuse of the agency, said Karnataka Law Minister HK Patil. The decision will affect the probe in MUDA scam where Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is facing allegations of corruption.
Talking to ANI, Karnataka Law Minister HK Patil said that the state government is withdrawing the consent of CBI due to concerns over misuse of CBI. The minister said that CBI has not filed chargesheet in any of the cases referred by the state government and they are left pending.

Patil also alleged that the agency has also refused to probe several cases sent to them by Karnataka government and there are many such cases. The Karnataka minister has also termed the agency as biased.
“And due to these concerns, we are taking this decision. And this decision has noting to do with the MUDA scam. We are taking this move to prevent them going astray,” Patil told ANI.
