New Delhi: Ozempic is currently the hottest drug in the unconventional weight loss community. Although the medication is for treating type 2 diabetes, the trend of using it for rapid weight loss is now rampant. Celebs such as comedian Tanmay Bhatt and Karan Johar have been accused of using the drug following their dramatic weight loss journey.
Tanmay Bhatt cleared the air and attributed all his weight loss to a change in lifestyle, working out and eating healthy. Similarly, when the filmmaker came across such accusations, Karan immediately took to his Instagram and clarified such rumours.
Ozempic takes Karan Johar’s weight loss credit
On his official Instagram account, Karan Johar shared a screenshot of a post that called out Karan Johar’s use of Ozempic for his weight loss, which is only promoting its use and the drug going out of stock for people who really need it. Karan Johar, on his IG stories, refuted such allegations and credited his weight loss to being healthy, eating well and reinventing the wheel of his nutrition. He gasped and felt offended at the fact that his hard work was not being appreciated, instead Ozempic took all the credit.
The tweet was referring to Maheep Kapoor’s stance on Ozempic and how she condemned its use for weight loss in the Netflix reality show Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. Karan Johar mentioned Maheep Kapoor and asked if the comment was directed towards him. Maheep simply reshared the story and inserted laughing emojis in response. To this Karan replied, “You’re laughing? I’m offended.”
Tanmay Bhatt and Karan are not the only celebs who have been accused of using Ozempic. Netizens suspect that various Bollywood celebs such as Bhumi Pednekar. Farah Khan, Kusha Kapila, and Vidya Balan, are among those who face such allegations.
