New Delhi: Fresh from dethroning Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah from the No.1 spot in Test rankings, Kagiso Rabada breathed fire with a sensational bowling spell to leave Bangladesh reeling in the second Test between Bangladesh and South Africa at Chattogram. Rabada bagged a five-wicket haul (5/37) as the Proteas left Bangladesh tottering at 137/8 at Lunch on Day 3 of the second and final Test on Thursday.
Rabada’s fiery spell in the morning session left Bangladesh reeling at 48/8 before Mominul Haque held the fort with assistance from Taijul Islam to help the hosts cross 100 runs.
At Lunch, Mominul was unbeaten on 74 with Taijul on 18 as both batters shared an 89-run stand for the ninth wicket to save Bangladesh from major embarrassment. At the first interval of the day, Bangladesh were trailing by 438 runs, needing another 339 runs to avoid the follow-on and to make visitors bat again.
However, their resistance was swiftly ended straight after Lunch as Senuran Muthusamy trapped Mominul in front for 82 while Keshav Maharaj castled Taijul for 30 as the visitors enforced the follow-on after bowling out the hosts for 159.
Earlier, South Africa declared their first innings at 575/6 after three batters hit maiden centuries.

Rabada struck in the fourth over of the day, dismissing Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto for 9. In the next over, Dane Paterson got rid of veteran Mushfiqur Rahim for a duck with a pitched-up delivery.
After his marathon knock of 191 against Pakistan, Mushfiqur has gone nine innings without any 50+ score.
Rabada, in an unstoppable mood, struck twice, removing Mehidy Hasan and Mahidul Islam in three deliveries to complete his second fifer of the series and 16th overall in red-ball cricket.
Bangladesh are on the verge of suffering their second successive series whitewash following their 0-2 loss in India last month. The Bangla Tigers slumped to a seven-wicket loss in the opening Test against Proteas in Mirpur.
