New Delhi: An army jawan was severely injured following gunfire from across the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The jawan was guarding a forward post in the Kalal area of Nowshera sector when he was hit by a gunfire. He was immediately rushed to a military hospital.
According to preliminary information, the gunfire came from across the LoC when some terrorist attempted infiltration bid in Keri sector.
The Indian army retaliated and fired in the direction from where the fire came from. The army then strengthened the anti-infiltration grid to keep a tight vigil in the area.
