Srinagar: A fresh encounter between the security forces and militants has started in the Ketsun forest of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. According to the initial reports two militants are believed to be trapped.
As the encounter is underway, one unidentified militant has been killed in the gun battle. The operation was launched by a joint team of Police and the army after receiving specific input about the presence of militants in the forest. Earlier last week, an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Pannar, following which the terrorists managed to escape.
