New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (February 8) lauded the BJP’s strong showing in the ongoing Delhi Assembly Elections, calling it a triumph for governance and development. In a post on X, he thanked the people of Delhi for their immense support.
In the post, PM Modi said, “Jana Shakti is paramount! Development wins, good governance triumphs. I bow to my dear sisters and brothers of Delhi for this resounding and historic mandate to BJP. We are humbled and honoured to receive these blessings.”
‘Will leave no stone unturned’
PM Modi further said that the BJP would leave no stone unturned in improving the city’s development and the overall quality of life for its people. “It is our guarantee that we will leave no stone unturned in developing Delhi, improving the overall quality of life for the people and ensuring that Delhi has a prime role to play in building a Viksit Bharat,” he added.

The prime minister also expressed pride in the party for their hardwork, which led to the result. The PM said that the BJP will work “more vigorously” to serve the people of Delhi. “I am so proud of each and every @BJP4India Karyakarta, who has worked very hard, leading to this outstanding result. We will work even more vigorously and serve the wonderful people of Delhi.
PM to address BJP workers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address BJP workers at the party headquarters on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg on Saturday evening around 5:30 pm. His visit comes as the party prepares to reclaim power in the national capital.
As of 3 pm, the Election Commission of India reported that the BJP was leading in 47 seats, bringing the party closer to reclaiming power in Delhi after 27 years. So far, the BJP has won 22 seats and is leading in 25 more. Meanwhile, the AAP has secured 11 seats and is ahead in 12. With the majority mark at 36 in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the BJP seems poised to form the next government as counting progresses.
