Jaguar Classics has released two highly exclusive E-Type Commemorative models to celebrate 50 years of this iconic Jaguar E-Type. These special editions are a tribute to the original E-Type roadsters, inspired by the final 50 units produced before the line’s close in 1974. The new E-Type Commemorative models embody a blend of timeless design and modern enhancements, appealing to classic car enthusiasts and loyal Jaguar fans.
The two cars feature distinct paint finishes; one comes in the renowned Signet Green shade, while the other gleams in Opal Black. True to Jaguar’s legacy of elegance, these models retain the E-Type’s open-top design, combining classic allure with new, luxurious details. Inside, Jaguar has added bespoke elements to make these E-Types exceptionally unique. The cabin features finely hand-woven leather seats, and details such as the engraved centre console, showcasing the E-Type’s original blueprint. Additionally, famed English jeweller Deakin & Francis has adorned the cars with refined accents, including a silver-finished ‘JAGUAR’ script on the boot and a Jaguar emblem in 18-karat gold, delicately inlaid with Mother of Pearl.
Though they retain much of their original charm, these commemorative models also include modern comforts, making them more versatile for today’s driving experience. Each E-Type is equipped with air conditioning, a heated windshield, and a Bluetooth radio, seamlessly integrating comfort with retro style. The heart of these vehicles is, of course, their original 3.8-litre inline-six engine, a celebrated component of Jaguar’s history. Updated with modern fuel injection technology, this powerful engine now operates in harmony with a smooth five-speed manual transmission, blending classic performance with modern efficiency.
Aimed at Jaguar’s loyal customers, these two models are not just tributes but carefully crafted tokens of Jaguar’s heritage, infused with both historic value and contemporary functionality. By enhancing an already legendary design with luxurious features and updated technology, Jaguar has brought back a masterpiece that captures the spirit of the E-Type while honouring its history.
