Tel Aviv: In a major offensive against Hezbollah, Israel on Saturday claimed to have eliminated two terrorists responsible for over 400 strikes against the country last month. Issuing a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that two Hezbollah commanders Mousa Izz al-Din and Hassan Majid Daib were killed in the targeted location.
“2 Hezbollah Commanders Responsible for Firing 400+ Projectiles Toward Israel in October Were Eliminated. Yesterday, the IDF struck in the area of Tyre and eliminated two terrorists. Mousa Izz al-Din: The commander of Hezbollah’s forces in the coastal sector. – Hassan Majid Daib: Hezbollah’s artillery commander in the coastal sector who was responsible for the projectile fire toward Haifa Bay on Thursday. These Hezbollah terrorists were responsible for firing over 400 projectiles at Israel over the last month alone,” the IDF said in its X handle on Saturday.

Israel hits 120 targets
According to Israel, it hit 120 targets, which include terrorist operatives, anti-tank missile launching sites, infrastructure sites of terrorists, facilities for weapons storage, and command centres in Lebanon. In recent times, Israel has been continuously conducting limited, localised, targeted raids against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Lebanon on Friday claimed that the death toll from Israeli attacks in the country’s northeast has increased to 45, with airstrikes destroying villages , which did not witness such attacks earlier. According to Bachir Khod, governor of Baalbek, nine villages killed at least 41 on Friday, news agency Associated Press reported.

The fresh reports of violence in the region have come at a time when Washington is looking for a diplomatic push, days before the US Presidential election, for cease-fire agreements. Apart from Hezbollah, Israel has also increased its offensive against Hamas’ remaining fighters in Gaza in recent times.
