Dehradun: The Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation and the Tourism Department of Uttarakhand are organizing the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh from March 1 to March 7, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The aim is to establish Uttarakhand as the global capital of yoga.
In this event, renowned yoga teachers from India and abroad will teach various yoga postures and meditation techniques to sadhaks (Yoga practitioners) and participants. Yoga training will be given in various sessions every day during the festival. Apart from this, there will be presentations of cultural programs and discourses by spiritual saints.
Yoga Festival will be held at Ganga Resort, Rishikesh
Vishal Mishra, Managing Director of Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation (GMDC), announced that this prestigious Yoga Festival will be held at Ganga Resort, Rishikesh. The festival will be inaugurated by Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on March 1.
Renowned yoga teachers will teach various yoga postures
During the festival, renowned yoga teachers (yogacharya) from both India and abroad will practice and teach various yoga postures (asanas) and meditation techniques to participants (sadhaks). Each day will feature multiple yoga training sessions, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the ancient discipline of yoga.
In addition to yoga training, the festival will include presentations of cultural programs and sermons by spiritual saints. These sessions aim to provide participants with a deep spiritual experience and showcase the rich cultural heritage of India.
Rishikesh is recognized as the international capital of yoga
