Indigo passengers stranded at Mumbai airport after Doha-bound flight suffers snag

New Delhi: An Indigo flight (6E 1303) from Mumbai to Qatar’s Doha got delayed due to technical reasons. Later, it was cancelled. Due to this, passengers had to face a lot of problems. Due to flight delay, 250-300 passengers were stranded at the Mumbai airport.

The passengers alleged that they were made to wait for five hours inside the plane. No concrete information was given by the airline to them.

Passengers alleged that they were waiting for the flight to take off since around 2.30 in the night. The take-off time of the flight was 3.55 am. After boarding the plane, they were kept waiting for five hours. Even after the long wait, the flight did not take off.

Those who boarded the plane added that due to completion of immigration, they were not allowed to get down from the flight. No assistance was provided to them by the airline, and they were not even given food or water, the passengers said.

Airline tenders apology

The passengers stranded at the airport said that they had been waiting with their children since night and were stuck there. “Our jobs are in danger. No one is listening to us,” some said.

However, Indigo’s statement has come out on the entire matter. Company spokesperson said that Indigo flight 6E 1303 from Mumbai to Doha was delayed due to technical reasons.

The flight tried to take off once or twice, but due to technical glitches it was delayed. After this, the airline canceled the flight. Booking is being done again for the next flight. The airline regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers. It apologised to its customers and said hotels are being booked for the travellers.
