New Delhi: A Kendriya Vidyalaya teacher posted in Bihar’s Jehanabad district has been suspended for ranting against the state and terming it India’s worst f*****g region. The video of the teacher has now gone viral on social media. Ranting in the video, the young teacher also blamed people of Bihar for having no ‘civic sense’.
She also said that India is a developed country just because Bihar is part of it. The viral video of the teacher can not be independently verified.
Teacher is on probation
The primary teacher reportedly identified as Dipali Sah is said to be on probation and posted at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jehanabad. In the purported video, the teacher could be clearly seen venting her frustration over his Bihar posting.
“Kendriya Vidyalaya schools are present in many regions in Bihar. Teachers generally did not the Kolkata region, but I was willing to be posted there. I had no issues with any location in West Bengal. One of my friends is posted in Darjeeling—can you imagine? Another was posted in Silchar in the Northeast—unbelievable! But what did I do to deserve a posting in the absolute worst region in India?,” the young teacher said in the video.
“Could have been posted in Goa”
She further added, “I could have been posted in Goa, Himachal, Odisha or anywhere or even Ladakh where no one wants to go. In the second part of the video, the teacher apparently said that the people in Bihar have “zero civic sense”.
“People who want to travel from Bihar to Delhi. People have made it so difficult for us..Oh God..they have zero civic sense. I think India is a developing country just because Bihar is a part of it. The day we remove Bihar from India, it will be developed. I was so infuriated….People have no civic sense, they have completely messed up the Indian Railways,” the teacher ranted further.
Teacher suspended after complaint
As the video went viral, Samastipur MP Shambhavi shot off a letter Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan commissioner seeking an action against the teacher. She said her remarks are highly unbecoming of a teacher.
Acting on the complaint, KVS suspended the teacher. She has now been asked to report to KVS, Mashrakh, in Saran district.
