New Delhi: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday backed Mamata Banerjee as the leader of the opposition’s INDIA bloc, signalling a rift with the Congress which becoming public with each passing day. Yadav said Banerjee should be given the leadership of the alliance.
He further took a dig at the Congress, saying their “objection means nothing”.
“Congress’s objection means nothing. We will support Mamata… Mamata Banerjee should be given the leadership (of the INDIA Bloc)… We will form the government again in 2025,” he said.
