New Delhi: After a host of schemes and assistance to auto drivers in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced Rs 1,000 per month of financial aid to women above 18 years of age in the national capital if his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is voted to power in the assembly elections due next year.
Addressing a gathering of women along with Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Kejriwal also targetted the BJP saying he had planned to implement this scheme in March, during his tenure as Chief Minister, but “they conspired and sent me to jail in the alleged Delhi liquor policy case.” He added, “After being released from jail, I collaborated with Atishi ji to ensure this scheme could be launched.”
