In today’s times, the Aadhaar card is a crucial document, often required for various government schemes. An essential update related to the Aadhaar card demands your attention. You can update your Aadhaar card for free until September 14, after which it will incur charges. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has enabled the uploading of Aadhaar details and documents. Initially, this free service was only available until June 14, 2023, but it has now been extended until September.
Aadhaar enrollment is a free service accessible to all residents of India. Each individual is assigned a unique Aadhaar number, which remains valid for a lifetime. This number facilitates access to timely banking services, mobile phone connections, and various government and non-government services.
Update Your 10-Year-Old Aadhaar Card
UIDAI advises Aadhaar users who have not updated their cards in the last 10 years to do so promptly. Failure to update your Aadhaar may lead to difficulties in accessing government services in the future. This free service can be availed exclusively through the myAadhaar portal. For physical updates at Aadhaar centers, applicable fees will be charged. Therefore, individuals can update their Aadhaar cards online for free until September 14.
