New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. There is possibility of heavy rains in Bihar and Jharkhand as well today, the weather department said.
The IMD has also warned of flash flood in Odisha’s Keonujhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Baragarh, Jharsuguda, Subarnpur, Sambalpur and Sundargarh districts and in Chhattisgarh’s Balarampur, Jashpur, Korea, Surajpur and Surguja districts.
Similar warning has also been issued for Jharkhand’s Bokaro, Chatra, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, East and West Singhbhum, Garhwa, Giridih, Godda, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Khunti, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Palamu, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Sahebganj, and Saraikela districts.
According to IMD, heavy rainfall is also expected in Uttarakhand till September 19 and in west Uttar Pradesh till Wednesday. Light to moderate rainfall is likely in southern states during the week.
