New Delhi: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. Heavy rainfall is also likely over parts of Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha may witness scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall in the next few days.
Apart from this, parts of West Uttar Pradesh may see isolated heavy rainfall on September 24, and East Madhya Pradesh on September 23 and September 24. Parts of Chhattisgarh may witness similar weather from September 22 to September 24.
Parts of Haryana and Chandigarh may receive isolated rainfall
Sharing further details, the weather department said that parts of Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh may observe isolated very heavy rainfall on September 24th. These apart, isolated heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Odisha on September 22 and September 23, Assam and Meghalaya on September 21 and September 22, and Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Manipur from September 21 to September 24.
Similarly, parts of fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall is expected over parts of Konkan and Goa. Isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall can be expected during the week. Also, parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may witness hot and humid weather for the second day on September 19.
Significant rainfall was recorded in Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh
Parts of Western and Eastern Uttar Pradesh recorded significant rainfall in past few hours. Among the districts included Hamirpur, Etawah Firozabad Jalaun, Banda, Chitrakoot among others. Just as in Uttar Pradesh, parts of Madhya Pradesh also received significant rainfall in districts like Bhind, Gwalior, Morena, Datia, Rewa, Chhatarpur, Panna, Sidhi, Panna and others.
