Noida: Abhay Singh, popularly known as ‘IIT Baba’, who gained popularity during the recent Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, alleged that he was assaulted during a debate on a private channel in Noida.
According to him, a group of saffron-clan men entered the news room during the debate and started misbehaving with him. While claiming that he was also also assaulted, the IIT Baba also staged a protest outside the police outpost in Sector 126. He later withdrew his complaint after being persuaded by the police, PTI report added.
IIT Baba decided not to pursue the case: Police
Confirming the same, Sector 126 Station House Officer (SHO) Bhupendra Singh said that IIT Baba was convinced and decided not to pursue a formal complaint. A video has also gone viral on the social media. In this video, IIT Baba can be seen engaged in a discussion, when a group of sadhus enters the studio. leading to an argument with him. As tensions increased, IIT Baba tries to leave the studio. However, the exact cause of the altercation was not clear.
