Charkhari: An MLA from Uttar Pradesh found himself in an unusual situation when a 44-year-old petrol pump worker in Charkhari asked for his help in finding a bride. Brijbhushan Rajput, the Charkhari MLA, was surprised when Akhilendra Khare openly requested the legislator’s assistance in his personal life.
Khare claimed that he had supported Rajput in the recent elections by voting for him. Now, he was hoping to receive support in return – help to find a wife for him.
‘I voted for you, now find me a bride’
Rajput shared the amusing exchange on his Facebook page. The conversation began when Rajput stopped to refuel his vehicle. Khare approached him and expressed his frustration about still being unmarried. He told the MLA, “I was born on Karva Chauth, but there’s no one to observe it for me.”
Rajput, amused by the situation, asked Khare, “Why did you choose me for this job?” Khare replied, “I voted for you.”
This response made the MLA laugh and he playfully said, “So, now I have to get you married? Have you asked anyone else?”

The MLA asked about Khare’s preferences for a wife and advised him not to differentiate between people and assured him that he would marry the woman destined for him.
Rajput then said, “I will pray for you and also try to find you a bride because you voted for me.” The MLA further inquired about Khare’s salary to provide the information to potential brides’ families.
Khare said that he earns Rs 6,000 a month and owns 13 bighas of land. Rajput noted that the land was worth crores. The video ended with Rajput reassuring Khare that he would try to help find a bride for him.
Khare’s bizarre request to the MLA drew a mix of amusement and empathy from people online.
