New Delhi: Social activist Anna Hazare, who spearheaded the Lokpal movement in the early 2010s along with Arvind Kejriwal, on Saturday reacted as early trends indicated a BJP win in the crucial Delhi assembly elections.
In a sharp reaction, Hazare said, “When contesting an election, if a candidate’s character, behaviour, and deeds are good, then the voters feel confident to vote for him or her. They feel that the candidate will do something good for them.”
Hazare criticised Kejriwal’s handling of the liquor policy, stating that he had previously warned him about its potential drawbacks. He added, “I repeatedly told and warned (Arvind Kejriwal)…about the liquor policy but they ignored my advice. They got swayed by money.”
