Washington DC: A man, who served as the Vice President of a US company, shared that he was sacked without any intimation. He shared his frustration with Redditors and told them he was even given a raise and a bonus just months before the unfortunate event. Netizens tried to console him in the comments. They encouraged him with their kind words.
Taking to Reddit, the upset man stated that he had recently been sacked from a company he had been employed with for one and a half years. During a meeting with the CEO and COO, he was told that they were laying him off as part of cost-cutting. They added that his position would be eliminated and offered him a severance pay of 10 weeks. In his post, the distraught former VP revealed that he had received positive feedback during a review in March and was also given a raise and an additional 25 percent bonus. To make matters worse, the man found out via LinkedIn that the company had hired another person to replace him.

The former VP vented out to Redditors. He wrote, “I never missed a single deadline, I was reliable….Didn’t take all my PTO, would work weekends and was always available at any time. I never received any negative feedback or had to be sat down to speak to. I was doing the work of 3 people and still.” He said that he was angry, embarrassed and frustrated about what had happened to him. “They couldn’t even tell me the truth to my face,” wrote the ex-VP on Reddit.
