Nicole Kidman opens up on filming intimate scenes
During the interaction with The Sun, Nicole Kidman opened up about playing a sex-addicted woman. She recalled that though there was sharing and trust, she was also frustrated. She was quoted as saying, “It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me’. There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life!’ I’m over it. It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”

She also revealed that an intimacy coordinator worked with the cast to film the intimacy scenes but she pointed out that the instructions given to all the three cast members did not make them feel “confined”. She also believes she couldn’t have done the scenes if there was a male director and Halina Reign made things easy and she did not feel like she was being “exploited”. She also shared that reading the script she felt “funny” but also “turned on by it”.
