New Delhi: Slain Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash has written a 24-page suicide note detailing alleged harassment by his wife and in-laws. After his death by suicide on Monday, the police have now booked his in-laws for abetment to suicide.
In his suicide letter, Atul Subhash has also addressed his 4-year-old son to the extent that his words sometimes sound sexist. Atul’s son stays with his estranged wife Nikita Singhania and he was paying Rs 80,000 alimony till the time of his death.
‘Ending my life because of you’
Atul said he wants his son to be wise enough to understand all this one day. “When I first saw my son, I thought I could give my life for you any day. However, I am ending my life because of you (son). Now I don’t remember your face till I see your pictures. You are being used to extort more and more money from me. Though it may hurt you, but you now feel like a mistake I committed,” a report in NDTV said quoting from the letter.
The 34-year-old techie also mentioned how his wife and in-laws were allegedly attempting to extort money using their son.
‘Will sacrifice hundreds of sons’
Atul was reportedly currently paying Rs 80,000 as alimony while his wife Nikita wanted it to increase to Rs 2 lakh. He also slammed the system for making a child burden and a liability to a father.
“Till the time I am earning, you will be used to extort money from me, to harass your grandparents, uncle and me. I won’t allow all this to harass my parents. For my parents, I can sacrifice 100 sons like you. But I will not let my parents be harassed through you,” said Atul Subhash in the suicide note.
