New Delhi: Hyundai has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the Inster Cross, a rugged version of the recently revealed Inster EV. This new addition is designed to widen the appeal of Hyundai’s small electric SUV, offering a tougher exterior and enhanced tech features, making it a strong contender in the city EV segment.
The Hyundai Inster is a small electric SUV based on the ICE-powered Casper, which is currently sold exclusively in Korea with a petrol powertrain. Positioned as a global player in the affordable electric vehicle market, the Inster brings urban-friendly dimensions and functionality to the forefront. To accommodate its battery pack and improve interior space, Hyundai extended the Casper’s platform by 230mm, with 180mm of that added to its wheelbase, providing a more spacious cabin for passengers.
