A speeding Porsche Taycon Electric car lost control and slammed into the KBR Park footpath, flipped and crashed into the grill of the park in Road No. 14, Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad on Friday morning, reports said.
The car was coming from the direction of Basava Tarakam cancer treatment hospital and entered the park and stopped after hitting a tree.
Witnesses to the accident said that the car skidded off course, damaging the surrounding area. The car had no number plate.
The police said that the person driving the car fled from the scene and is suspected to be inebriated during the time of the accident.
The car’s airbag opened up, averting a fatal accident. A case has been registered and an investigation is on.
Accident on Diwali:
In a separate accident, a man died after firecrackers exploded in Eluru town on Thursday. The man was carrying a bag of crackers on a two-wheeler, when the bombs and other crackers exploded after falling on the road. The blast was so strong that the body parts of the rider were dismembered.
