Mumbai: The Mahavikas Aghadi was on shocked regarding the case of 12 MLAs appointed by the Governor. The petition filed in the Bombay High Court on this matter has been rejected, leaving the Mahavikas Aghadi stunned. The petition was filed by Sunil Modi, the Kolhapur city president of the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray party. Meanwhile, Sunil Modi has stated that he will appeal to the Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision.
The High Court has rejected the petition filed against the 12 MLAs appointed by the Governor. The petition was heard by the bench of Justice Borkar and Justice Upadhyay. After the rejection, petitioner Sunil Modi said that he will challenge this decision in the Supreme Court.
Sunil to appeal in SC
He asked, ‘Has the petition been rejected based on the constitution? We will have to check this.’ During the hearing, we presented evidence from several states, but it seems the court did not consider it.” The interference of BJP members in the judicial process has increased. “We believe that some BJP individuals are involved in this case as well,” Sunil Modi accused the BJP. “We will go to the Supreme Court against this decision of the High Court.”
The outcome paves the way for the appointment of seven new MLAs by the Mahayuti. The Mahayuti has already sent the names of seven individuals to the Governor. Now it is expected that five more names will be announced by the Mahayuti.
Mahayuti to oppose
Speaking on this, Sunil Modi said that the Mahayuti will object to the appointment of all these new Governor-appointed MLAs. Meanwhile, the issue of Governor-appointed MLAs has been pending since the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was in power. At that time, the then Governor had not allowed the appointment.”
