Dehradun: In a road accident in Dehradun city, six youths, including three girls, lost their lives when an Innova car collided with a container near ONGC intersection late last night. One person has received serious injuries in the incident. The accident was so serious that it badly damaged the car.
Soon after getting the report about the road accident, a police team reached the spot and took out all the persons from the vehicle. They were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. Later, doctors declared six persons dead. The injured person has been identified as Sidhesh Agarwal, 25 years, a resident of Dehradun’s Rajpur area.

The six persons , who lost their lives in this road accidents, have been identified as Guneet (19 yrs), a resident of GMS road, Kunal Kukreja (23 yrs), a resident of Rajendra Nagar, Dehradun and originally belongs to Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, Rishabh Jain (24 yrs), a resident of Rajpur road area of the Dehradun city, Navya Goyal (23 yrs), a resident of Anand Chowk of Tilak road area, Atul Agarwal (24 yrs), a resident of Kalidas road and Kamakashi (20 yrs) of Kawali road area.
Driver of the container escaped from the spot
As per the report, the driver escaped from the spot after the accident. Police are trying to trace him. All the passengers, traveling in the Innova car, were between the ages of 19 to 25 years.
Police consider it a case of “over speeding”
Reports said seven persons were on their way to home by the Innova car at the time of accident. The injured person is undergoing medical treatment. As per the preliminary report, police consider it a case of “over speeding”. Police are collecting evidence from the accident site. The accident took place around 1.30 am on Tuesday.
It is said that the cargo truck was coming from the side of Kishanganj while Innova car was on the way to Dehradun from the side of Ballupur chowk. The Innova vehicle hit a tree after the accident.
