Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said his government has always stood for the welfare of people as he inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga and other projects worth Rs 12,100 crore in the state.
While emphasising the importance of good health, PM Modi said if a family member falls ill in a middle class family, life becomes very tough for the while family, and he understands this very well as he also comes from the same social background.
“Our government has always stood for the development of the people of the country. We have laid the foundation and inaugurated development works worth Rs 12,000 in a single program,” said PM Modi.
PM Modi also said that his government was working towards fulfilling dreams of Karpoori Thakur by launching all these development projects in the state.

During his speech, PM Modi said people of Jharkhand are voting to fulfill their dream of a ‘viksit’ Jharkhand.
“Today, the first phase of voting is being held in the neighbouring state of Jharkhand. The people of Jharkhand are voting to fulfill the dream of a developed Jharkhand. I would request all the voters of Jharkhand to participate in the voting in maximum numbers,” said PM Modi.
PM Modi launches projects worth Rs 12,100 crore in Bihar
During his Bihar visit today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay foundation stones and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth Rs 12,100 crore. In Darbhanga, Modi laid the foundation stone of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), worth more than Rs 1,260 crore. It will have It will have a super-specialty hospital and an AYUSH block, a medical college, a nursing college, a night shelter and residential facilities, a release from the PMO said.
