Lucknow: Amid a row over the death of a female employee at Ernest and Young’s in Pune allegedly due to being stressed and overworked, a bank employee in Lucknow died after she fell off her chair in the office with her colleagues claiming that the woman was under immense work pressure.
Sadaf Fatima, posted as additional deputy vice-president with HDFC Bank’s Vibuti Khand branch in Gomtinagar, fell off the chair while working on Tuesday and was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead by doctors, Dainik Bhaskar reported.
Her body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain more details about the circumstances leading to her death. Meanwhile, her colleagues in the office said the woman suddenly collapsed and did not get up after which she was taken to the hospital, the report said, adding the employees claimed that Sadaf was overworked and under pressure.
