New Delhi: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has finally accepted that his country is supporting and funding the terrorist organisations for nearly 30 decades. Khawaja Asif has admitted to the same in an interview with US news channel Sky News amid the tensions between the two neighbours following killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Pakistan Defence Minister, his country has been doing the dirty work of funding terrorists on behalf of the United States for over three decades, said a report in Moneycontrol citing Sky News.

“Pakistan has been doing this dirty work for 30 years for United States and West including Britain,” Khwaja Asif said on a question about funding terrorism. He also admitted that indulging in such activities was a mistake and Pakistan has suffered on this account.
“If we had not joined the war against Soviet Union and later on the war after 9/11, then Pakistan’s track record was unimpeachable,” he added.
The Pakistan Defence Minister also lashed at US for blaming it for terror activities saying, “It is convenient for big powers to blame Pakistan that fought with them against earstwhile Soviet Union in the 1980s. All these terrorists of today were whining and dining in Washington,” the report said quoting Khwaja Asif.
