Haryana govt’s big announcement for farmers: All crops to be purchased at MSP from today

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that the state government will buy every crop from farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This makes Haryana the only state in the country to offer this MSP program.

This decision has been taken by the state government at a time when farmers are adamant on the demand of making a law on MSP. For this, large-scale protests of farmers have already been seen in the country. Now, Haryana government has given a big relief to the farmers by deciding to purchase every crop through MSP.

MSP now on 24 crops

On Sunday, in the ‘Mhara Haryana, Non Stop Haryana’ rally from Kurukshetra to Thanesar assembly, the CM said that they have made many big announcements for the farmers. The  announcement is that the state government will buy every crop of the farmers at MSP.

No matter which crop the farmers of the state grow, they will get the actual price of MSP. Now the MSP price will be available on 24 crops in the state.

Haryana CM attacks Congress

The Chief Minister also attacked the opposition Congress party. The CM said that the lies of the Congress and its misleading politics for MSP are in front of the farmer brothers. Wherever there is a Congress government in the country, only a few crops are purchased on MSP, the money for which is paid by the Central Government through FCI. Our Haryana farmers are no longer going to fall for this lie and misleading politics of the Congress.

This decision has been taken by the Haryana government when assembly elections are due in the state in the next few months. Therefore, this decision of the government is also being considered a big electoral gamble. BJP has also become fully active regarding the elections. However, opposition parties are calling it an election promise.
